Gbenga is a Chartered Civil Engineer and the Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) Lead for SYSTRA UK & Ireland, where he drives innovation, digital delivery and sustainability across major transport and infrastructure programmes. He has over 16 years’ experience leading design and delivery of high-profile projects for clients including National Highways, HS2 and Network Rail, applying systems based and sustainable design solutions. He serves on the board of Sustainability West Midlands (SWM) advocating sustainable infrastructure and regional decarbonisation strategies. He also volunteers with Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), at the national level, as the Chair of the Initial Professional Development Panel and, with West Midlands region, as Chair of the Infrastructure Voice Group. He is also a Supervising Civil Engineer (SCE) and Mentor supporting professional development pathways for trainees and aspiring engineers at all levels. An accomplished STEM ambassador, recognised regionally in 2024 for his outreach efforts, Gbenga combines technical expertise with mentorship and leadership to inspire the next generation of engineers.
