New Civil Engineer’s Graduate and Apprentice Awards are designed to recognise and reward the most inspiring civil engineering graduates and apprentices.
The next generation of talent will be rewarded on Thursday 2 July at the NCE Awards in London, when three young professionals will be crowned in front of key industry figures.
Whether you are a graduate, apprentice or a degree apprentice the awards will give you the chance to gain profile-raising experiences which could see you on our shortlist and interviewed face-to-face by our judging panel at the Institution of Civil Engineers’ headquarters at Great George Street in Westminster.
Civil engineering is about more than just structures and infrastructure, it's about connecting and supporting communities. This year’s awards will be asking candidates to not just share their amazing career and work experiences so far, but also describe how our industry can ensure that future infrastructure creates long term social value and inclusivity in design for the communities it serves.
Support your graduates and celebrate the next generation of civil engineers. The NCE Graduate and Apprentice Awards will be an invite only section of the NCE Awards ceremony, recognising the outstanding graduates and apprentices in civil engineering.
The ceremony is only open to judges, VIPs, finalists and sponsors.
Entry criteria
We have three categories available to enter, each with their own set of criteria and key questions for you to complete. Take a look at our list of categories and decide which ones are relevant to your work and achievements.
Entries do not require company approval and should be submitted by the graduate/apprentice; however, you will be asked to provide a testimonial from a line manager or mentor.
Entries are welcomed from graduates and apprentices working for UK-based clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers or working in academia who are members of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) or on an ICE-approved training scheme.
Candidates will be asked to fill in a questionnaire to provide insight into their role in the industry.
