The judges noted she was articulate and demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for the industry while presenting her experience during the interview. She has a deep understanding of the importance of her work and places strong emphasis on client relationships. Additionally, she does fantastic work mentoring young people and inspiring the next generation of engineers.

Dawood was nothing short of inspirational.
His ability to tell the story of his difficult entry into the industry, and the benefits attained by choosing the degree apprentice route, was highly commendable. Especially when combined with his clear passion and desire to inspire others from a similar background into the industry.
This challenging path has clearly not detracted from his progression, as he demonstrated a deep understanding of the need for collaboration in the industry, through mechanisms like Project 13, as well as being highly knowledgeable or digital solutions.
He has a great understanding of how he wants his career to progress, and the emphasis he has on using his own progression to support others is fantastic.

Katie refuses to accept standard solutions without question, showing a deep understanding of the broader factors surrounding engineering challenges. Her empathy and insight into the impact of design and engineering on people and communities are remarkable. Her work is already a phenomenal testament to the ideals of engineering—visionary, transformative, and lifesaving.
