Girish Reesaul is a distinguished civil engineer and technical leader with nearly 30 years of experience in infrastructure design, construction, operations, and asset management. He has held senior leadership roles in airport and land transport operators, the Civil Aviation Authority, and engineering consultancies, overseeing infrastructure planning, technical assurance, sustainability strategies, and innovation initiatives at both national and international levels. He has been pivotal in driving digital transformation, climate resilience strategies, and risk management within complex, asset-intensive environments.
As the current Head of Profession for Civil Engineering & Built Environment at Transport for London (TfL), Girish ensures engineering safety, resilience, and sustainability across diverse transport networks in London, including underground and overground rail systems, highways, and commercial infrastructure. He spearheads the development and implementation of civil engineering and built environment standards, policies, and assurance frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and the adoption of best practices in infrastructure management.
A Chartered Engineer and Fellow of multiple prestigious engineering and management institutions, Girish is widely recognised for his contributions to the industry.
