Kevin is the Managing Director of
a niche construction and facilities management consultancy and is working with
central government departments, wider public sector organisations and major
building contractors on significant projects and programmes. He has
particular expertise and experience in the introduction of Strategic Alliancing
and partnering for HM Prison Service, Ministry of Justice and Crown Commercial
Services.
The majority of his career has
been in the private sector since he qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in
1987. He joined the Ministry of Justice
in 2010 before becoming a Senior Civil Servant in Cabinet Office in 2015 before
leaving in 2019.
Most of his work has been in the
UK providing services to organisations including four central government
departments, RBS/NWB, General Electric, Scottish Power, Royal Mail and De
Beers. He has undertaken overseas
assignments in Jamaica, South Africa, Algeria, Czech Republic and Poland.
Kevin was former chair of the
Government FM Board and the Collaborative Procurement Working Group and also
served on the Government Construction Board.
He has recently been appointed as Co-Chair of the
Commercial and Procurement Sector Led Group of the Industry
Competence Steering Group (ICSG). ICSG
has been set up to enhance competence and safety standards across the built
environment in response to the Grenfell Tower Fire and subsequent Hackitt
Review, signalling a strategic shift towards more rigorous industry-wide
competence frameworks
