Amy Koerbel is an architectural engineer and Director at AESG, where she leads the UK Façades business and is a member of the UK Executive Team. She brings over 25 years’ experience across architectural engineering, multidisciplinary design, technical consultancy and business leadership. Amy’s work is fundamentally about interfaces – where disciplines, materials, systems, people and decisions meet. She brings together different perspectives and priorities, identifies the issues that matter, and helps shape the discussions and decisions needed to move complex projects forward. Her experience spans major infrastructure programmes such as Thames Tideway and highly design-led projects including the Serpentine Pavilion. She works with developers, architects and contractors across new-build and retrofit, including façade design, remediation and technical advisory. Amy is particularly interested in how the industry can reconcile increasing regulatory and performance demands with design, safety, buildability and long-term value.
