Yuli is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers (FICE) with nearly 30 years’ experience in geotechnical engineering, and in particular with geosynthetics. Yuli has worked as a Geotechnical Engineer for 10 years in Hong Kong and since her return in the UK 17+ years ago, she has been working for Tensar International, the British inventor of polymer geogrid technology used to reinforce and stabilise earth, overseeing projects in the UK, Europe, Middle East, and Asia Pacific. Yuli has served as a past Chair of the UK Chapter of the International Geosynthetics Society (IGS) and she is the immediate past Chair of the ICE North West region. She is currently the Vice Chair of the British Geotechnical Association and a Board Member of the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering. She is a registered STEM Ambassador and the first civilian to become a Fellow of the Institution of Royal Engineers (FInstRE) in May 2018.
