As Director of Operations within National Grid Ventures, Phil is responsible for operating the UJV portfolio (IFA, IFA2, NSL and the new Viking Link Interconnector to Denmark. Phil is a Civil Engineer who began his career in Oil and Gas with TechnipFMC working on North Sea Capital Projects. He then joined Severn Trent as Programme Engineer working on Water and Wastewater Capital Projects, before joining National Grid in 2016 where he has held various operational and management roles. These have included Project Director for HS2, Head of Strategy for capital projects, Head of both UK Contracts and Project Controls and Director of New Interconnectors.
