Kim Kapur
transition director
HS2

Kim Kapur joined HS2 in April 2023 as Stations Client Director, responsible for the delivery of three of the Phase One stations, Old Oak Common, Interchange and Birmingham Curzon Street, Kim has recently moved to the new role of Transition Director focusing on creating the systems and stations delivery organisations encompassing an integrated approach to delivery and bringing into use of the railway. Kim previously worked on the Crossrail Programme, where she held several senior roles including Head of Stations Integration for London Underground Stations, Crossrail Delivery Director and Crossrail Close Out Director, where Kim was charged with overseeing the final commissioning stage of the Elizabeth Line and Close Out of the Crossrail Programme. Extensive testing, commissioning, and integration of systems at the new stations were required ahead of the opening of Elizabeth line; to ensure safety and reliability for the new passenger service. Kim had oversight of successfully bringing into use five of the new stations, Bond Street, Tottenham Court Road, Farringdon, Liverpool Street and Whitechapel. Kim’s approach to delivery is to simplify the complexity, applying a sense of pragmatism and practicality to decision making and to keep moving forwards. Focusing on the overall objective and keeping the end in mind is very much the ethos Kim applies to her delivery style.
