James has over 30 years’ experience working in project delivery, working on some of the largest infrastructure programmes in the UK including Thameslink and Crossrail however, his passion has always been for the water industry. James is a Programme Director within Major Programmes at Jacobs Engineering, working on the £4.5B Tideway Tunnel, the largest water infrastructure project in the UK. He has held a number of senior roles across delivery on the project over the past 10 years, but his first involvement came in 2001 as the project manager for the Tideway Tunnel Strategic Study, which was the original study which led to the scheme as we see it today. Now as the Programme Director, he is responsible for Jacobs leadership and performance on Tideway leading the teams managing the NEC3 contracts and associated assurance of health and safety, environment, quality, and engineering of the project in readiness for commissioning through to completion and handover of this iconic project.
