Ian Draycott, FICE has decades of diverse experience in civil and structural engineering including buildings, access, temporary works and bridges. Currently with The Canal & River Trust, he works on a wide range of heritage infrastructure. Several of his projects have won awards including “Constructing Excellence”. Ian’s previous roles have included being part of the project team for the procurement of the Mersey Gateway project – a £600m infrastructure project including a major new crossing of the river Mersey. He was also a regional Structures Advisor for the Highways Agency in Manchester, dealing with Technical Approvals and other highway structure matters.
