Dr. Vincent Nyambayo is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and a Chief Geotechnical Engineer at Atkins. He holds a PhD from Imperial College London where he developed a novel methodology for simulating pore pressures induced by vegetation and progressive failure of slopes using numerical modelling. He has more than 25 years international experience in ground characterisation, design and site supervision of various geotechnical works. He is a member of the Editorial Board of Emap’s Ground Engineering magazine as well as technical committee TC302 (Forensic Geotechnics) of the International Society of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering.
