Brian Fitzpatrick is an industry specialist and advisor who, during his 35 year career to date, has accrued a wealth of successful management, design and delivery experience of major Highways & Transport infrastructure projects and initiatives in the UK and around the world, in a variety of Project or Programme Management roles. He has extensive experience of working with, or as the client for, many of the consultants and contractors currently working in the industry in the UK and internationally. This wide perspective, coupled with his technical expertise and experience, was a key element in his decision to create his own consultancy practice, Fitzpatrick Advisory Ltd, whose work since 2015 has included projects covering technical and design maturity assurance reviews of major projects, asset management strategy, digitisation, electric vehicles, sustainability, CAV and more recently the roll out of a pioneering data aggregation platform and services called DASHA™, an ‘infrastructure ALEXA’ for local authorities. Brian is currently personally involved in a number of commissions with his practice including technical risk advisory on Major Projects for National Highways. Brian is in touch with ‘on the ground’ performance and innovation and is well placed to provide authoritative, independent and learned assessment of design and construction performance of forward-thinking companies operating in the infrastructure sector today. Brian regularly contributes to industry publications and chairs seminars for various institutions on technical issues and lessons learned in the industry.
